There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. This qualification is suitable for those who work within the health and social care workforce. It provides Learners with an opportunity to demonstrate their competence in a wide range of job roles.

  • Promote and Implement Health and Safety in Health and Social Care 15
  • Understand the Context of Supporting Individuals with Learning Disabilities 2
  • Interact with and support individuals using telecommunications 20

Assessment

Assessments for all units are offered in a number of assessment cycles throughout the year. Units are assessed by an assessor and EV assignments with the exception of Research Methods and Study Skills for Postgraduate Learning that are assessed by one assignment piece.

Progression Route

Learners who achieve this qualification could progress into employment in a social care role such as senior care support workers in residential settings, supported living or day services or community based senior support or care workers.
On completion of this qualification, Learners may wish to complete further qualifications in this or related areas.
